Rooted in the work

Marissa Creamer has spent 11 years building clinical talent functions inside companies that couldn't afford to get hiring wrong. As the first or early TA leader at four venture-backed healthcare startups, including the first U.S. recruiter at Babylon Health and the 36th employee at Imagine Pediatrics, she knows what it actually takes to scale clinical teams when the stakes are high, the timelines are compressed, and the margin for error is thin.

Across those companies she has hired physicians, APPs, therapists, nurses, and allied health providers into value-based care models, substance use treatment, digital health, and pediatric Medicaid. She has built compensation frameworks, configured ATS systems from scratch, launched 8 new markets, opened 10 clinics, and reduced locum tenens spend by $2M. She has also sat at the executive table long enough to know that talent strategy isn't a support function. It's a growth lever.

Cypress Talent Advisory exists because most health tech companies at the Series A to C stage are navigating clinical hiring without the infrastructure, data, or expertise to do it well. Marissa built this practice to change that.

She is based in the Austin area, serves on the boards of MGMA Capital City (Austin) and AAPPR Texas, and speaks nationally. If you're building something in healthcare and need a thought partner on talent, she'd love to connect.
